How we operate
Public sources only
Every finding is from data that was already publicly accessible — registries, breach corpora that researchers disclosed, public APIs, social platforms with public profiles.
K-anonymous queries
Where possible (passwords, email checks) we use k-anonymity protocols so we never see your raw input — only the first 5 hash characters.
Sources cited
Every line of every report cites its source. No black-box claims.

Legal frame
EU: Skopio is GDPR-aligned. We process only public data and disclosed breach corpora under legitimate-interest grounds (Recital 47 covers fraud prevention explicitly). For high-volume customers we provide DPA on request.
US: Skopio is not a Consumer Reporting Agency under FCRA. Our findings are research-grade context, not consumer reports. Customers using Skopio in adverse-decision workflows (employment, credit) are responsible for FCRA compliance themselves and should pair with a CRA.
Worldwide: Our terms prohibit doxxing, harassment, stalking, and any form of content fully obtained by bypassing access controls. We respond to valid legal process and respect right-to-erasure where applicable.
